Greetings!!

Like everyone else at Bob Hodges & Sons Real Estate, I grew up and went to school in Fort Lauderdale. I still remember the 4th of July sand castle contests on the beach across from the Elbo Room in the 1950's and I remember surfing the pier at South Beach in the 1960's. Art Deco was always cool, we just didn't realize how cool!

After graduating from law school in 1980, I moved west to Santa Fe the capitol of New Mexico and the exotic local of all those westerns I had grown up watching. I went to work at the New Mexico legislature and then went into private practice. Santa Fe was getting discovered and land prices were going up much as we have seen here over the last five years. It was a good time to be in real estate and a good time to be a young lawyer, of course it almost always is! Over the next twenty years, I worked and invested in real estate while returning to Fort Lauderdale each winter to visit family and friends.

I have been back in Fort Lauderdale on a full time basis since "2001". As we all know, the real estate market here is in transition, but the key to success is still the same regardless of whether you are buying or selling, looking for a great house or a good investment. Success requires vision, knowledge of the market, a little courage and strong negotiating skills. And it is important to keep in mind that a good deal is good for both the buyer and the seller.

While living in New Mexico, I had the opportunity to work with an architect on a number of occasions and like many people before me caught the architecture bug. I enrolled in the Graduate Architecture Program at the University of New Mexico, but after a year and a half of study I came to the conclusion that becoming a registered architect was probably not my destiny. None the less it was a good experience. It broadened my horizons and I gained knowledge and insight that have made me a better real estate broker and investor.

And I continue to remain interested in the field of architecture particularly as it relates to housing, city planning and preservation.

So in a nutshell, I guess I would describe myself as someone who knows what a good piece of real estate looks like and someone who knows what a good contract looks like. And with a lawyer's perspective, I know that a client's best interests are paramount.

Knowledge, integrity and service are the essence of a good real estate broker. Our goal is to help you complete your next real estate transaction successfully and efficiently and hopefully we can all have some fun doing it!

Put our expertise to work for you. My area of focus is residential real estate (homes, condos, townhouses) east of Federal Highway (US-1). I am always interested in talking about real estate so if you are thinking about buying or selling please give me a call (Email if you prefer) any time!

Sincerely,

........................H. Adam Fisher, Esq.
